A Social Responsibility We All Have Towards Global Warming

Global warming image

Global warming is ruining the balance of our climate than it was never before. If 2016 was reported the warmest year ever recorded, it is no surprise as 2017 is going to smash that record soon. Around the world our consumption pattern needs a careful attention so as to reduce the impact on the environment.

The more harm we do to the nature, the more problems it will create. The solution is not to escape to Mars, but that remedial measures taken by polluting industries. It has become a social responsibility and each one on the earth has to take that responsibility in his or her own way.

Birds Flying in Formation

Sometimes it makes me think about the complexity of nature around us. Look at those birds flying in formation to a far away place. They follow the leader meticulously and reaches their destination safe and sound. It teaches us the value of leadership and how it contributes to overall success. Jehovah God made all things so intelligently that nothing is in chaos.

Thinking Lion

Thinking Lion
Animals can think. But what this Lion would be thinking? About the next hunt? Or just got philosophical?

Elephant Running

elephant running
It's a baby elephant running. These beautiful creations of God are elegant and sometimes frightening. Asian and African counterparts have got apparent differences in their structure and behaviour. Asian elephants are tamable and used for tourist and business (timber industry) purposes. It's a feast for eyes spotting large herd of these elegant animals gazing together freely in jungle. Drawing this elephant took some trials before it is in this shape. I used just a fountain pen and scanned it and colored it using http://paintschainer.preferred.tech/.

Some road blocks are larger than you can Imagine!

That's right. We don't know what lies ahead in our life. Being an optimistic person doesn't guarantee everything will be in the right place in its own due course. All of us are going to hit a road block one time or another that can hamper our growth both professionally and personally.

So the question is how prepared are we to face these road blocks?

On Being Workholic

I'll be late if there is no work at office

Workaholic person is the one who spend most of his or her time in office because that person finds it's addictive. But, the more addictive, the less productive is the reality. Of course a workaholic person is void of Monday blues and other ill-feelings related to going back to work. But the addictive element can ruin the professional life in the long term.

Learning is Fun and Creative

Learning when fun oriented can create wonders. Looking at the real life applications is one of the key ingredient for successful learning. A positive vibe by the teacher can make the whole process interactive and less effort. A boring subject can be turned into very interesting by adding stories or anecdote to the content. That way students will find it interesting about what he or she is doing. It brings another point, learn it by doing. Yes, the principle remains the same, you are prototyping a real life problem and arrive at a solution.

You're A Cute Little Dog

You're a cute little dog.
Waving your tail every time you see me.
You appear from nowhere and you disappear somewhere.

You're a free dog
Go anywhere you like

The Infinite Loop Of Learning and Unlearning

To learn something, unlearn something!

On Learning

Let me begin with a common scenario. An inquisitive young boy grabs a toy. What do you expect? Play? Yes, he will start playing. But you just can't expect he will go on playing with that toy. Because sooner or later he will make that into pieces. What's the psychology behind that? Yes the curiosity prompted him to do such action. He wants to know how the toy is made up of or what makes the toy moving or making sound.

All of us have an urge to learn new things. When we see something new, we ask many questions to get satisfying answers. Yes, that's learning. In that perspective, learning is a life long process. Age doesn't matter. Keep on learning and we discover new things and a reason to go ahead.

Knowledge as we have it today has been subjected to constant interaction of culture, religion and science. It is from Generation after Generation.  As humans, we have amazed lot of knowledge on different subjects and the hunting it is still continuing.

On Unlearning

To complete the learning process, there is lot of unlearning is sometimes involved. That's how the science has been progressing all the way to our times. Old theories made way to new theories and still it may change. This is how we should see it. To learn new things, we have to unlearn old things with an open mind. This is the most difficult part for many people as they tend to become adamant as they they get older. As many think they are themselves masters about the subject, it's a false positive. Never get into that attitude as it will ruin your career and will have a very bad effect on your personal life. People will see you as arrogant and they will get distanced from you.

Life is a great teacher and during the journey of life many of our assumptions may found to be wrong and we are required change our assumptions and even attitudes. People who are open to such unlearning will emerge as ultimate winners.

Some Thoughts On Real Estate Investment

what time is the right time?

Investment in real estate will not always yield good returns. Real estate market always fluctuates. With every policy decisions, real estate prices witnesses huge fluctuations. As one of the main pillar of the economy of a country, it functions as an indicator how strong the economy is.

As in the every other market, real estate market also function on the basic principle, that is, the demand vs supply decides the price. Rumours also causes the price sky rocket.

The rise and fall of economy is closely tied with the housing prices. Remember the housing bubble some years back. What happened was banks were lending too much money and people started investing in the real estate thinking that it will never come down. Housing prices were testing the new limits and then? What happened?  Soon the bubble broke and prices came down sharply. Many people were homeless. Banks who were once lending without asking too many questions has made themselves in a very bad situation. They became desperate in auctioning the houses at their disposal adding to this fall in housing prices.

Inkscape A Great Companion For Graphic Design

Image created in Inkscape vector software
Inkscape is a great opensource software that can be used to produce some amazing graphics illustration. It's ideal for you if you don't have money to buy expensive graphics software. For quite a few years I have been experimenting with Inkscape learning new techniques on how to create vector images nicely.

What is Vector ?

Ordinary image types tends to loose resolution when they are resized to a higher size. This makes them unusable in certain situation where a large scaling is required. Unlike images that are of the type jpeg, png, vector images retains their resolution whatever the size you resize them. That's the basic characteristic of a vector image which makes it very useful in the print and digital media. Inkscape has some great features through which you can create stunning vector images. All you should know is the basic understanding of how vector images can be manipulated using various tools available in the software.

Recently I started submitting my illustrations to shutterstock. For vector submissions, we are required to upload both a jpg file and an eps file. Jpg file conversion is not available in the Inkscape. What I am doing now is first export the image to png format and using mspaint I open the .png file and save it in jpg format. It is very easy. Vector files are stored in Inkscape using svg format. But to upload to shutterstock I need to upload both .jpg and .eps files a the same time. I needed to convert the .svg format to .eps format. It is also very simple. Simply save the svg file as .eps format. So far my experience is great with the Inkscape and would like to learn more. You can review my shutterstock image set here.

A Logical Perspective and a New Perspective to understand what Life is all about.

scientist

Thinking Logically

A Scientist has a different thought stream, relates everything that's around him or her with the science.  Logical thinking is what they call it. Logical thinking leads to discovering new theories explore the unexplored to find more about life and its surroundings.  To define science it is an effort in explaining the nature and the rules governing it by way of observation and experiments.

A New Perspective?

In the logical perspective the question that's still not surely answered by science is that how come these rules came into existence without somebody intelligently defined them and implemented? That's a million dollar question science is trying to Decode. Yes, the word decode means something that's already been encoded. Modern science is able to decode DNA to some extent. DNA is decoded to read the numerous instructions that is meticulously PROGRAMMED into it. Who encoded these instructions so that we can decode them now. Think about it and you will find an answer if you think logically.
